(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
On 17-Oct-2020 a pet owner reported their dog died on 16-Oct-2020 and they were concerned the dog may have been exposed to the product. The liquid concentrate product was placed in a chicken waterer near the fence line of the owner's property on an unspecified date. No exposure was witnessed but the dog was seen near that area. On 13-Oct-2020 the dog developed lethargy and anorexia. On 14-Oct-2020 the lethargy worsened, and the dog developed ataxia and cold paws. The owner consulted with a veterinarian over the phone who instructed to give the dog dexamethasone, ceftiofur, and flunixin meglumine. On 15-Oct-2020 the dog was evaluated by a large animal veterinarian and found to be tachycardic and having very laboured breathing. The dog developed polydipsia that day as well. The veterinarian administered vitamin B12 by an unspecified route. The dog was brought home for further monitoring by the owner. The dog died at home the morning of 16-Oct-2020. The owner noted a small amount of blood coming from the dog's nose just prior to death. It was not specified if a necropsy would be pursued. No further information was received.
