O - Unclassifiable/unassessable
In individual cases, dermal reactions at the application site may occur in animals that are particularly sensitive. However, application site lesion is not expected. Self-trauma (e.g. by scratching, licking) may have aggravated application site reaction. Further reported death after product application is not expected in dog, as it is inconsistent with the pharmaco-toxicological profile of the product. Time to onset is more than 12 hours, therefore an allergic/anaphylactic-type reaction can be ruled out. Moreover, the intent of the call was to inquire about product use in general and not to report this event. Time to onset is too long for reporting death. Overall, a product relation is considered unassessable.
