1-59009600 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicates an exposure to a pesticide containing the active ingredient diphacinone (present in free form or as sodium salt). On the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter stated her 10-week-old, 1-pound, female, Jack Russell Terrier dog might have ingested a mouse that had been killed by the product. The reporter stated the dog had diarrhea and was lethargic. The reporter was advised to seek immediate veterinary evaluation of the dog due to its small size and symptoms, even though the time from exposure to symptoms wasn't consistent with product ingestion. On follow-up call two days later, the reporter stated she was not able to get the unvaccinated puppy to the vet and she died. No additional information is available.
