Immediately after application the dog began scratching at the application site, became lethargic, and agitated. On 10 May 2020 the pet owner applied vitamin E oil to the application site and gave the dog a bath. The symptoms persisted. On 13 May 2020 the dog was seen by a veterinarian who noted irritation at the application site, swelling at the application site, and reddening of the skin at the application site. The dog was administered diphenhydramine and a bath with Dawn dish soap was recommended. The outcome is unknown.
