1-60775052 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicates an exposure to a pesticide containing the active ingredient bromethalin. Approximately one month before the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter placed the bait under his home and an unknown amount of time later, the reporter found an approximately 4-week-old, male, domestic shorthair cat of unknown weight that appeared to be paralyzed. An exposure to the pesticide was not witnessed. The reporter was advised to seek immediate veterinary care for the cat as the symptoms could be attributable to ingestion of the pesticide, but other causes needed to be ruled out. On follow-up call 6 days later, the reporter indicated the cat had died without getting veterinary care. No additional information is available.
