N - Unlikely
Pruritus on other than the application site is not anticipated with topical product administration. If any, skin reactions would be localized at the application site. Later reported cancer and death are not expected after product application, as inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile. Oral exposure to the product is not expected to cause serious conditions leading to death. The product was administered to puppies/kittens at up to 5 times the recommended dose, every 2 weeks for 6 treatments and there were no serious safety concerns. Also no signs of anaphylactic reaction are reported. Time to onset is quite long. Other causes are more probable. Additionally, the reported cancer may be pre-existing and not diagnosed in time. It is the likely cause of death. Considering the product profile, product involvement is deemed to be unlikely.
