1-60402660 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicates an exposure to a pesticide containing the active ingredient bromethalin. On the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter stated his 1.5-pound, 8-month-old, female, Chihuahua dog had green color in her stool that looked like the bait, had very rigid muscles and had vomited. The reporter stated he did not witness the ingestion of the bait by the dog but mentioned blocks of the product were missing. The reporter was advised to seek immediate veterinary evaluation of the dog as the symptoms could be related to an over ingestion of the bait. The reporter was not available on follow-up call two days later. On follow-up call three days later, the reporter indicated he had sought veterinary care for the dog but once there the dog died on her own. No additional information is available.
