7/13/2019 A pet owner reported that he used an empty bucket that previously contained Hawk Rodenticide to mix an algaecide for his koi pond. He rinsed the bucket prior to mixing the algaecide and applied it to the pond approximately 36 hours prior to the report. Eight hours later 25 fish had died. The owner reported that 2 more fish were in the process of dying at the time of call (unspecified signs), and 9 fish were asymptomatic. No home treatments were provided. It is unknown if veterinary intervention was sought for the surviving fish. No further information was received.
