On September 3, 2019, the owner used an Advantage fogger in the home while the cat was kept at the groomers when the product was applied. On September 5, 2019, the owner brought the cat home from the groomers. That night, the cat developed lethargy. The next morning, on September 6, 2019, the cat passed away. The APSS veterinarian recommended the owner have a necropsy done, have the veterinarian call for information, and to call back with questions.

The APSS veterinarian stated that the Zodiac flea and tick dip was considered to have a doubtful likelihood of causing the clinical situation. The APSS veterinarian also stated that the Advantage fogger was considered to have a doubtful likelihood of causing the clinical situation. At the time of this report, a necropsy is not pending.
