Shortly after the product was applied on September 28, 2019, the cat developed hypersalivation. The owner dunked the cat's head in some water and rinsed him off. The owner then contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS veterinarian stated that a taste reaction or mild gastrointestinal (GI) upset can be seen, if this was licked off. The APSS technician recommended the owner give a taste treat (some canned/wet cat food), monitor for GI signs, monitor for behavioral changes, and to call back with questions or if signs are seen.
