(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms

On June 27, 2019, the cat developed symptoms. On June 28, 2019, the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS veterinarian stated that the risk is for hair loss and dermatitis if hypersensitivity exists with product ingredients. The APSS veterinarian also stated that since the product was applied per manufacturer directions, systemic toxicity or complications would not be expected. The APSS veterinarian recommended the owner monitor at home, give the cat a bath (bathe site of application with warm water and Dawn dish soap), manage dermatitis, control pruritus (can try topical vitamin E oil at site of irritation - this may help with pruritus), take the cat to a veterinarian (for further care, if pruritus continues or any dermal irritation is noted at site of application), apply vitamin E oil, and to call back with questions.
