(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
4/18/2019 A veterinarian reported that 12 farm cats may have ingested a total of one-quarter cup of product. It was not known when the ingestion may have occurred, or if the cats ingested all of the product, but the bait was missing. One cat (Patient 1) was found dead and another cat (Patient 2) was ataxic. The other 10 cats were asymptomatic. No treatments had been performed. The owner was hesitant to provide extensive care for the ataxic cat, so the veterinarian was seeking treatment recommendations. Typical clinical signs for bromethalin were discussed along with symptomatic and supportive care recommendations based on the cat's clinical signs. No further information was received in this case.
