1-56856816 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicates an exposure to a pesticide containing the active ingredient diphacinone (present in free form or as sodium salt). One day before the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter stated her 1-year-old, male cat of unknown weight and breed was lethargic, not eating and had collapsed after possibly ingesting some of the product an unknown amount of time earlier. The reporter was advised to seek immediate veterinary care for the cat as the symptoms could be related to product toxicity. On follow-up call two days later, the reporter stated the cat had been hospitalized after his clotting tests were found to be abnormal, and the cat was scheduled to receive a blood transfusion. No additional information is available.
