Approximately 2 weeks post application, in approximately 2015, the dog exhibited tremors and a head tilt. On an unknown date post onset, in 2015, the clinical signs resolved. On an unknown date in 2016, the dog died. No necropsy was performed. The intent of the call was to inquire about product use in general and not to report this event. No further information is expected. This case is closed.

N - Unlikely Though permethrin has the potential to cause slight neurological disorders like tremors and head tilt in particular susceptible animals. However, time to onset of two weeks is too long. Other causes are likely. Further, reported death is not expected in dog after product application, as inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile. Time to onset is not fully clear, though must have been long based on case data. Other etiologies are likely. Previous applications were well tolerated. Considering all aspects, product connection in this case is unlikely.
