On 14-Feb-2019, a 2 year old, 14 pound, female, Maltese/Poodle (Toy)/Terrier - Yorkshire crossbred dog, of unknown reproductive status, in unknown condition, with no known concomitant medical conditions, was administered 1 tube of Advantage II (Imidacloprid and Pyriproxyfen) Medium Dog (KP0CBAH/ KP0C7VB)via the topical route by the animal owner.

On 15-Feb-2019, the dog developed lip licking, inappetence, and intermittent emesis. On 18-Feb-2019, the dog developed tacky gums(dry mouth). The dog was not evaluated by the veterinarian, no treatments were performed, and the clinical signs continued. The dog recovered an unknown time later.
