Accidental ingestion/Ingestion accident.
(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
9/23/2018 6:40:26 PM A pet owner reported their dog ingested an unknown amount of bait from two bait stations about 10 hours prior. No product packaging was available, but the owner thought the bait contained bromethalin. The dog was asymptomatic. About 1.5 hours later the owner called back to report the chewed-up bait stations were located but they could not locate any ingredient information on them. The dog had a bowel movement with some of the green color of the bait present. The owner was traveling to their cabin where another bait station of the same type was located so they could determine the product's active ingredient. About 2.5 hours later, the owner reported the product contained bromethalin, based on the bait station located at their cabin. Veterinary evaluation was recommended. No further information was received in this case, so the outcome is unknown.
