On the morning of October 9, 2018, the cat developed symptoms. On October 10, 2018, the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The owner stated that this product was applied not knowing it wasn't safe for cats. The APSS assistant recommended the owner monitor at home, give the cat a bath (with dish washing liquid (DWL) to remove the product, take the cat to a veterinarian (if not perking up quickly), and to call back with questions.
