The patient is an Italian greyhound 6.8 kg Male neutered. This patient has been on K9 Advantix II since May 2018. On approximately September 12th the pet owner applied the September dose of K9 Advantix II medium dog.

The patient became itchy at the application site shortly after the application. The patient was treated with cold water compresses and vitamin E upon recommendation of the clinic. One week later, the patient still seems to get instances where it is itchy at the application site and will turn around suddenly and bite.The outcome is unknown.

Whereas skin reaction at application site, e.g. itching may occur in sensitive dog, would not expect application site biting directly related to product. However, it may be associated with reported application site itching. Considering consistent time to onset and application site involvement, a product connection is deemed to be possible.
