Within 1-2 days of the product being applied to the cat, the cat became symptomatic. Soon after, the cat passed away. On September 1, 2018, the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to report the death.

After application, the owner wiped the cat's coat with a wet cloth. On an unknown date, the cat became symptomatic. The owner later found she had passed away. On September 1, 2018, the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to report the death.
