An unknown time later the dog experienced skin irritation, hair loss at the application site, became vocal, and lethargic. The owner bathed the area, applied peroxide and a topical antibiotic and declined being seen by the veterinarian. The outcome is unknown. The case is minor as the treatment was undertaken by the pet owner not prescribed by a veterinarian.
