1-53731647 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicates an exposure to a pesticide containing the active ingredient diphacinone (present in free form or as sodium salt). Two days before the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter indicated his female chicken of unknown age, breed, and weight might have ingested some of the product. On the day of initial contact, the reporter indicated the chicken was lethargic and vocalizing. The reporter was advised to seek immediate veterinary attention for the chicken as the symptoms could be from product ingestion. On follow-up call four days later, the reporter indicated he sought veterinary care for the chicken, but she died the evening of the day of initial contact. No additional information is available.
