Caller asking if her dogs could become ill from ingesting ants that had ingested the insecticide from a Wilson AntOut Ant Traps (Wilson Ant Traps). Caller denies the dogs ingested any traps, just the ants that may have eaten bait from the trap. Last night the dogs developed vomiting, mouth foaming, and lethargy. Dogs are refusing food and cannot keep any food down. TOE - 1 day ago 2 dogs - 12 mo and 2 yrs - O: SXS - vomiting, foaming in mouth, lethargic, anorexia A: Acute, Animal, Ingestion, Wilson AntOut Ant Traps (Wilson Ant Traps), SXS R: Would expect SXS if dogs ingested the baits inside the traps, but not from ingesting a few ants that may have ingested the bait. Instructed caller to attempt to get dogs to drink fluids. Dogs should be taken to a vet immediately.
