Due to the sensitive nature of the communication, specific relevant event details were not obtained, nor will such be sought. The reason for the initial call was to discuss the use of the product in owner's other cats and not to report the death of the patient.
No further information is expected. This case is closed.

Death
19. Provide supplemental information here
N - Unlikely
Reported death is inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile and experience. No signs of allergic or anaphylactic reaction reported. Product has wide margin of safety. Oral LD50 in rat is 642 mg/kg BW. 24-fold overdosage tolerated by cats without showing any side effect. Time to onset is not consistent. Moreover, the intent of the call was to discuss the use of the product and not to report the death of the feline. Overall, even though low level of information is provided (Age and health status of the cat, necropsy details), considering the circumstances, a product relation is unlikely.
