1-52371929 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicates an exposure to a pesticide containing the active ingredient tetrachlorvinphos. One day before the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter placed the product on his 11-year-old, 8-pound, male cat of unknown breed and then the cat was allowed to be outside overnight. On the day of initial contact with the registrant, the cat had returned home and was wheezing and having breathing difficulties. The reporter bathed the cat and was planning on taking him to the veterinarian. The reporter was advised this is not an expected reaction to product application and veterinary attention is warranted. On follow-up call two days later, the reporter indicated the cat had died the evening of the day of initial contact. The reporter declined necropsy. No additional information is available.
