On an unknown date post administration in 2017, the feline died. It is unknown if the feline was euthanized or if a necropsy was performed.
Due to the sensitive nature of the communication, specific relevant event details were not obtained, nor will such be sought. The reason for the initial call was to discuss the product use on another feline and was not to report the death of the patient.

N-Unlikely: Death is inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile and experience. Product has wide margin of safety. Oral LD50 in rat is 642 mg/kg BW. 24-fold overdosage tolerated by cats without showing any side effect. Moreover, the owner contacted to Bayer Animal Health was to inquiry about product use on another pet and not to discuss the death of this animal. Even though some information is not available (e.g. animal details, medical history, time to onset and necropsy report), considering known product safety profile a product relation is unlikely.
