1-50961362 - The reporter, a veterinarian, indicates an exposure to a pesticide containing the active ingredients fludioxonil, difenoconazole, thiamethoxam, and metalaxyl-M (mefenoxam). On the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter indicates she is treating a 12-week-old, 33-pound, male Saint Bernard dog who ingested an unknown amount of canola seed treated with the pesticide and subsequently had a seizure. The reporter was advised this would not be an expected reaction to the described exposure and to treat the dog symptomatically. On follow-up call two days later, the reporter indicated the dog was having seizures every 2-3 hours so was started on intravenous seizure medication and transferred to a 24-hour veterinary care facility. The dog was recovering well and was expected to be released on the day of the follow-up call. No additional information is available.
