On an unspecified date post application, in approximately 2016, the cat died. No necropsy was performed. The initial communication with Bayer Animal Health was to inquiry about product use on another pet and not to discuss the death of this animal. No more information is expected. Case is closed. Note: Previous exposure was well tolerated by the animal.

N - Unlikely Death is inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile and experience. Product has wide margin of safety. Oral LD50 in rat is 642 mg/kg BW. 24-fold overdosage tolerated by cats without showing any side effect. Moreover, the owner contacted to Bayer Animal Health was to inquiry about product use on another pet and not to discuss the death of this animal. In this case, the previous exposure was well tolerated by the animal. Even though some information is not available (e.g. animal details, medical history, time to onset and necropsy report), considering known product safety profile a product relation is unlikely.
