1-50541555 The reporter, a pet owner, indicates an exposure to a spot-on topical product containing the active ingredient (S)-methoprene. Approximately one month before the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter placed the product on her 14-year-old, 6-pound, female, Domestic Shorthair cat. An unknown amount of time later, the cat developed weight loss then died one day before the day of initial contact. The reporter was advised the product has minimal toxicity to mammals and the cats symptom and death would not be expected. Necropsy was discussed, but as of the time of this report, it is not clear if a necropsy was performed. No additional information is available.
