Approximately one week before the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter placed the product on his 8.5-year-old, male, Domestic Shorthair cat of unknown weight. An unknown amount of time later, the cat had a seizure so the reporter brought the cat to a veterinarian for evaluation. The cat had another seizure at the veterinary clinic then died an unknown amount of time later. The reporter was advised this is not an expected reaction to normal product usage. No additional information is available.

1-50342090 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated his cat was exposed to an insecticidal spot-on product containing the active ingredient (S)-methoprene. On the day of initial contact with the company, the reporter placed the product on his 5-year-old, female, Domestic Shorthair cat of unknown weight. Twenty minutes after application the cat died. The reporter was advised this is not an expected reaction to normal product usage. No additional information is available.
