Later in the evening on September 26, 2017 the dog developed symptoms. On September 29, 2017 the owner took the dog to the regular veterinarian. No treatment was done at the clinic. In the evening on September 29, 2017 the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS veterinarian stated that significant clinical signs are not expected and that there is a low risk for a dermal hypersensitivity reaction. The APSS assistant recommended the owner take the dog to a veterinarian, give a bath (with liquid dish soap (LDS) and water), and to call back with questions.
