(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
On an unspecified date in approximately 2014, a crossbred canine, of unknown signalment and condition, with no known concomitant medical conditions, was administered 1 tube of K9 Advantix II (unspecified) (Imidacloprid-Permethrin-Pyriproxyfen) via the topical route by the animal owner. On an unspecified date post application, in 2014, the dog died. It is not known if the dog was evaluated by a veterinarian, it us not known if the dog was treated. No known necropsy was performed. No further information is expected. This case is closed. The initial communication with Bayer Animal Health was to discuss product use on another animal and not to report the death of this canine.
Death
N - Unlikely Death is not expected in dog after product application, as inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile. Other causes are more likely. The initial communication with Bayer Animal Health was to discuss product use on another animal and not to report the death of this canine. Finally, even though no known necropsy was performed and long time to onset (3 year) for reporting, overall, considering the known product profile, sufficient information exists to conclude that the product did not cause the event and a product connection is deemed to be unlikely.
