On 27-Jun-2017, a 20 month old, 3.8 pound, intact, female, Pomeranian canine, in unknown condition, with no known concomitant medical conditions, was administered 1 tube of K9 Advantix II Small Dog (Imidacloprid-Permethrin-Pyriproxyfen) topically by the owner. This was off label use as the product is not labeled for use on dogs under 4 pounds.

Approximately 10 hours post application, the dog exhibited pruritus. Approximately 12 hours post application, the dog exhibited restlessness and was examined by a veterinarian. The dog was administered 0.17 mg dexamethasone intramuscularly. Approximately 13 hours post application, the owner bathed the dog in an unspecified dog shampoo per veterinary advice. On 28-Jun-2017, the clinical signs continued so the dog was re-examined by the veterinarian, but no known treatments were provided and the clinical signs continued.
