On February 5, 2017 the dog died within minutes of the product being applied. The product was applied to another dog, who was asymptomatic.

The APSS veterinarian stated that the substance was considered to have a doubtful likelihood of causing the clinical situation. A necropsy was submitted. Results have yet to be received.
