1-46849894 - The reporter, a veterinarian, indicated a cat may have been exposed to a pesticide with the active ingredient lambda-cyhalothrin. On the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter indicated a 5-month-old, 3-pound, male cat of unknown breed was brought to his clinic since developing hypersalivation after exposure to a home that had been sprayed with the diluted product. The cats owner indicated she and the cat remained out of the home for 6 hours after it had been sprayed. Approximately 1 hour after returning to her home, the kitten developed the symptom. The reporter was advised that the cat may have licked an area where the product was still damp and developed the symptom due to a bad taste. No additional symptoms would be expected from such a minor exposure. On follow-up call three days later, the reporter indicated the hypersalivation stopped soon after presentation. No additional information is available.
