Immediately after product application the cat ran away. The behavior lasted approximately 5 minutes, then resolved. Death

19. Provide supplemental information here

Behavioural sign may occur in response to the product sensation or smell. Further, neoplasia and death are not expected after appropriate product application as inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile. Product has wide margin of safety. Oral LD50 in rat is 642 mg/kg BW. 24-fold overdosage tolerated by cats without showing any side effect. The product has no carcinogen potential. The cause of death was neoplasia. Animal involved in this case was geriatric. In case of suspected product involvement, adverse event would have been reported in close proximity and not long time after. Moreover, the intent of the call was to discuss product expiration and not to report the death of the cat. Time to onset though short for initial sign, however it is unknown for serious signs. Overall, even though no necropsy was performed considering known safety profile of the product, product relation is unlikely.
