On an unspecified date, in Oct2016, the cat developed anorexia and weight loss. On approximately 04Nov2016, the cat died. The cat was not examined by a veterinarian and no necropsy was preformed. The owner was not calling to report the death of this patient but to discuss product use on another animal.

18. Severity classification (if there is more than 1 possible classification
Death
19. Provide supplemental information here
Anorexia and weight loss are unspecific signs and may have multiple potential other causes in an animal. Death is not expected with product use as inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile and experience. Product has wide margin of safety. Oral LD50 in rat is 642 mg/kg BW. 24-fold overdosage tolerated by cats without showing any side effect. Moreover, the owner did not believe the product connection as the reason for call was not to report the death of this patient but to discuss product use on another animal. Time to onset is long. Overall, even though necropsy was not performed a product connection is unlikely.
