On an unknown date in 2016, the feline died. No necropsy was performed. Due to the sensitive nature of the communication, specific relevant event details were not obtained, nor will such be sought. The reason for the initial phone call was to discuss the use of the product and not to report the death of the patient. This case is closed. No additional information expected.

18. Severity classification (if there is more than 1 possible classification

Death

19. Provide supplemental information here

Death is not expected after appropriate product application as sign is inconsistent with pharmacotoxicological product profile and experience. Product has wide margin of safety. Oral LD50 in rat is 642 mg/kg BW. 24-fold overdosage tolerated by cats without showing any side effect. Moreover, the reporting party contacted Bayer Animal Health to inquire about product use and not to report the death of this animal. Time to onset is too long. Finally, even though some information (e.g. animal details, health status and necropsy results) is not available, considering known product safety profile a product relation is unlikely.
