(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
On January 4, 2016 the cat developed symptoms. Shortly after the owner rinsed the cat's coat/skin. An hour later the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS veterinarian stated the ingredients in this product have a good margin of safety in cats. The APSS veterinarian also stated can see a decrease in appetite, behavior changes and possible ataxia as adverse events; but those signs can be caused by other things as well. The APSS assistant recommended the owner take the cat to the veterinarian (to see if something else is going on; sometimes other health concerns can display when cats are stressed) and having the veterinarian call for information. The owner stated she did not want to go into a clinic at this point. The APSS assistant recommended bathing the cat (as little stress as possible during), monitoring the cat at home, taking the cat to the veterinarian (if signs persist or worsen), having the veterinarian call for information, and calling back with questions.
