On October 23, 2016 the dog sneezed a couple times. The owner then contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) and stated no other symptoms had developed at the time. The APSS veterinarian stated mild respiratory irritation is possible. The APSS veterinarian also stated with a casual exposure such as this one, would expect mild irritation to mucous membranes. The APSS assistant recommended dilution (3 tablespoons (tbsp) milk and some food), monitoring for GI signs, managing vomiting (nothing by mouth (NPO) for 1 hour, slow back on to liquids and slow back on to food), and calling back with questions (or concerns).

On October 25, 2016 the owner called and stated the dog only sneezed a few times, the pet did not develop any other symptoms, and the pet had made a full recovery. Off label use: pet should be removed from the area before application.
