1-46082083 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated her dog was exposed to an insecticidal spot-on product containing the active ingredient D-phenothrin. Two days before the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter applied the product to her 75-pound, 2-year-old, male mixed breed dog. The next morning the dog was acting strangely by standing in one spot, escaping from his kennel, and hiding. The reporter gave the dog a bath, but soon afterwards the dog became lethargic and died. The reporter was advised this is not an expected reaction to the product. A necropsy was offered to find the cause of death, but the reporter had already buried the dog. No follow-up was done. No additional information is available.
