1-45996776 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated his cat was exposed to an insecticidal spot-on product containing the active ingredient (S)-methoprene. On the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter applied the product to his 3-month-old, 1-pound, female domestic shorthair cat. Within three hours of application the cat started foaming at the mouth and having hallucinations. The reporter brought the cat to the veterinarian where she was bathed and treated and seems better now. The reporter was advised that the product has little to no toxicity to mammals and reactions to the product would not be expected. No follow-up was attempted. No additional information is available.
