6/28/2016 Caller is a veterinary technician at a clinic treating a dog that developed in the last 2 to 3 hours difficulty standing, several episodes of vomiting, and 2 focal seizures lasting a few seconds. The pet owners applied the product on 6/25/16 and diluted product as instructed. The dog was no in the treated area until after the product had dried and it has rained since the product was applied. The dog is known to eat grass. Owner brought the dog to the clinic 2.5 hours after symptoms began. The dog has been given intravenous fluids, intravenous atropine, and a single dose of intravenous diazepam. Blood pressure and blood glucose were normal. Blood work showed blood urea nitrogen was high at 30, alanine aminotransferase was high at 547, amylase was low at 322, lipase was high at 1980, potassium was low at 2.3, and platelet count was low at 113 with no evidence of clumping. The skin around the dog's mouth is red and the dog was drooling. 7/2/2016 Call back to the original caller for follow up information. Veterinary technician would only say that the dog died on his own at the clinic on 6/28/2016.
