In May 2016 the pet owner started applying K9 advantix extra large dog (>25 kg) to her dog, a 2 year, 8 month old, male, neutered Miniature Schnauzer. On the first 2 applications he seemed a little itchy after application, but when the product was applied July 19, 2016 he became increasingly anxious and itchy. The client called the vet clinic who realized they dispensed the wrong dose, and recommended applying vitamin E to the application site. If that did not improve the clinical signs then bathing the dog and washing the product off were given as options.
