On an unspecified date in 2013 the dog died. It is unknown if a necropsy was performed. No further information is expected. Case is closed. Death not expected after product application as inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile. Product has wide margin of safety. Oral LD50 in rat 642 mg/kg BW. 20-fold overdosage tolerated by dogs without showing any side effect. However in case of suspected product involvement, adverse event would have been reported in close proximity and not long time (3 years) after. Moreover, the caller contacted Bayer Animal Health to inquire about the product use on the new pet and not to report this event. Though necropsy details are unavailable product relation can be completely excluded. Overall, a product relation considered as unlikely.
