1-43439589 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated her cat was exposed to an insecticidal spot-on product containing the active ingredient methoprene and to a registrant flea and tick collar with unknown active ingredients. Ingredients of flea and tick collar are unknown as reporter no longer had access to the packaging. The reporter applied the spot-on product to her 8-year-old, male cat of unknown weight, 11 days prior to initial contact with the registrant, and the flea and tick collar was applied 9 days prior to initial contact with the registrant. On the day of initial contact, the reporter noted her pet had scabs and skin irritation at the application site, and was acting lethargic. Reporter noted the flea and tick collar was not too tight. The reporter was advised that her cat may have a sensitivity to the product and bathing was recommended. On follow-up call, 6 days later, the reporter indicated that she had been applying an antibiotic ointment and the site was healing. No additional information is available.
