(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
Between September 14, 2013 and September 28, 2013 the dog developed symptoms. Between September 1, 2013 and November 1, 2013 the owner took the dog to the veterinarian. On October 22, 2015 the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS veterinarian stated any dermally applied product can cause skin irritation and/or hypersensitivity reaction; however, signs are not expected to last more than a few days. The APSS veterinarian also stated topically applied pyrethrins/pyrethroids can cause tingling of the skin as well. The APSS veterinarian finally stated systemic signs are not expected as long as product was used according to label. The APSS assistant recommended taking the dog to the veterinarian, having the veterinarian call for information, and calling back with questions.
