1-42367474 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated her two cats were exposed to a spot-on insecticide containing the active ingredient methoprene. The pet owner applied the product to her two 1-year-old, male cats 10-20 minutes prior to initial contact with the registrant. At the time of the call both cats were drooling. The reporter was advised that the active ingredient in the product has little to no toxicity in mammals but with ingestion short-term drooling can occur because of the unpleasant taste.
