1-40797546 - The reporter, a veterinary clinic staff member, indicated that a dog was exposed to an herbicide containing the active ingredient ferric HEDTA. The reporter was not able to provide a PCP registration number or a bar code number for the product but did provide a partial name of Ecosense Weed B Gon. The pet owner applied the product to their lawn 3 or 4 days prior to initial contact with the registrant. No exposure to the product was witnessed but the dog has been vomiting for the past 3 days and at the time of the call the dog had presented to the clinic for treatment. The reporter was advised that with ingestion transient gastrointestinal irritation was possible. Persistent symptoms are not expected from minimal exposures to the applied product and additional diagnostics were recommended to rule out other possible causes. No further information is available.
