1-40573574 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her dog was exposed to an herbicide containing the active ingredients 2,4-D, Mecoprop-p and Dicamba. The reporter applied the product to her lawn one night prior to initial contact with the registrant and about an hour prior to her call the reporters 4-year-old, 11 pound, female Shih tzu dog entered the application site and after the dog came back inside the home it was walking and sitting funny as if it was favoring its rear legs. At the time of the call the symptoms had resolved. The reporter was advised that the described symptoms would not be expected from exposure to the product but small breed dogs are prone to luxating patellas which may present as described. Veterinary care was recommended to determine an underlying cause and appropriate treatment. No additional information is available.
