1-40744659- The reporter, a neighbor of the pet owner, indicated that a cat was exposed to a spot-on insecticide containing the active ingredient methoprene. The reporter applied the spot-on product to the neighbors 7-year-old, 4 pound male cat about one month prior to initial contact with the registrant. At some unspecified time after application the cat was seen lying in the bushes for a period of two days and then it died. The reporter was advised that the product has little to no toxicity in mammals and the described symptoms would not be expected from exposure to the product. No further information is available.
